The Rotaract Club of Sunnybank which is sponsored by the Rotary Clubs of Archerfield, Rocklea and Salisbury was established in October 2009. Its membership is made up of about 15 enthusiastic young people. They meet on 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6.30pm for 7.00pm at the Sunnybank RSL. Within this short span of time they have participated in several projects. They inlude helping the Salisbury Rotary Club with the sausage sizzle at Bunnings and holding a Raffle Sale in aid of the Haiti Disaster Fund. In February they organised a walk through the Clem7 Tunnel. They also had a Guest Speaker talk to them about Shelter Box. Finally, just a few days ago the club ventured into a raffle and sausage sizzle sale of their own in conjunction with the Citizenship Presentation Ceremony at Parkinson. The club expects to receive its charter before the end of the current Rotary year.
